Research Funding
22.03 / Alessandro Maggioni was granted with the research funding #Takeheart from Fonds Darstellende Künste for the project “Ein emotionaler Koffer” (an emotional suitcase). The projects focuses on the research of methods, materials and best practices to support families in the creation of storytelling experiences at home. The development of a free online library of figures, that can be dowloaded, printed or lasercutted is also part of the project.

27+28.08 / Papir og Pixel (paper & pixel) will premiere on 27. August at the VilleVau in H.C. Andersen Hus, during the H.C. Andersen Festival. Reserve yout tickets, and make sure to stay a little longer to play with the interactive table used in the show.

Opening "Fantastic Mobility" at Futurium Berlin
28.11 / The interactive installation realized by BADABOOMBERLIN will be presented as part of the brand new exhibition in the Futurium Lab area. In addition to the exhibit, it will be possible to get invlved during animation workshop sessions that can be booked on the Futurium website.
Premiere "Fanny & Alexander"
15.10 / “Fanny & Alexander”, the new production of Schaubude Berlin, will premiere tonight at the Figure- and Object theater. Atelier Perela has crafted the stage objects, as well as the interactive tables used during the show.
"Gideon's Tale at 33. Filmfest Dresden"
9-14.07 / “Gideon’s Tale” will be part of the Open Air of the Filmfest Dresden. The Open Air event is a special happening during the festival to
introduce guests and citizens of Dresden to the short film form. It is
located in the HISTORICAL OLD TOWN of Dresden right next to the famous
Frauenkirche. The programm includes a high variety of short fiction and
animation films as well as documentaries.

"Das Jahr des Hasen" funded by Fonds DAKU
22.12 / The stage concept “Das Jahr des Hasen” (the year of the hare), freely inspired after the Arto Paasilinna´s novel of the same name, will be funded by Fonds Darstellende Künste. The premiere is scheduled for 3.12.2021 at Schaubude Berlin
Lecture at Politecnico di Milano
06.11 / In the framework of a 4-meeting workshop with professionals, Alessandro Maggioni joined the students of the communication course at Politecnico di Milano. Together we discussed the topic of design for younger generations and its challenges.
How to approach an experience for babies and families, and how it differs from a workshop for teenagers? How can we let different age groups enjoy the same space? Can the research for alternative formats turn into a formula for finding new solutions?
These and other questions were discussed with the students. We also debated on the process of developing a personal career path in the design world.
KARTONKLANG supported with the RELOAD funding -with IMAGINAria
17.06 / “KARTONKLANG – An odyssey in family concert format”, has been funded with the program RELOAD of the Kulturstiftung des Bundes. The scholarship will support the IMAGINAria ensemble into developing the project during the pandemic.
