ATELIER PERELÀ is the creative studio of Alessandro Maggioni, where he blends his poetic approach into every narrative and audiovisual interaction he produces.
With over 20 years of experience in the media industry, Alessandro’s journey began in Milan, working for design studios and communication agencies. In 2011, he relocated to Berlin, where he developed innovative media formats catered to younger generations. His fascination with the role of analog in digital culture led him to explore the realms of handmade paper-craft and stop-motion animation, which he has shared through workshops held in schools and kindergartens.
As the co-founder of BADABOOMBERLIN, Alessandro has collaborated with major museum institutions in Germany, such as Bauhaus Dessau, Futurium Berlin, and Grassimuseum Leipzig, creating playful interactive installations. He has also conceptualized and performed original productions for babies and their families on the stage of the Deutsche Oper Berlin and a sold-out tour in Shanghai with the IMAGINAria ensemble.
More recently, Alessandro has expanded his creative collaborations with composers, theater stages, and actors. His research into new formats has resulted in the development of an interactive animation table, with which he has performed in object and figure theaters across Germany (Schaubude Berlin, Münchner Puppenmuseum, T-werk Potsdam) and Denmark (H.C. Andersen Hus).
Currently, Alessandro holds teaching positions at Lette Verein, where he instructs Interactive Animation & Networking and Media Design, and serves as an external lecturer at various universities.
